Democratic governors disinvited from traditionally bipartisan White House gatherings

Every year, the nations governors convene in Washington, DC, for a friendly winter confab that includes a working meeting at the White House and a black-tie dinner hosted by the president.
This year, President Donald Trump is adjusting the guest list for the long, bipartisan tradition. Democratic governors have been excluded from the business meeting, and two of those governors, Wes Moore of Maryland and Jared Polis of Colorado, were not invited to the dinner, according to a source familiar with the matter.
We are disappointed in the administrations decision to make it a partisan occasion this year, interim National Governors Association CEO Brandon Tatum said in a statement. He added: To disinvite individual governors to the White House sessions undermines an important opportunity for federal-state collaboration.
The decision to exclude Democrats from the working session at the White House marks a break in tradition from presidents of both parties. With Moore and Polis disinvited from the dinner, two Democratic officials said several governors were re-evaluating whether they planned to attend.

That's 27 people Schlump is treating like persona non grata. Only he could be this petty, childish, and rude.
And yet I am not surprised. At all. I'm hardly ever surprised at this point. Even when he does something I never would have expected anyone to do, I'm not really surprised that HE did it. Mary Trump has said there's no "worst" with him, only "worse," because no matter how bad he gets, he'll always find a way to get even worse. Starting from when he launched his "birther" attacks on Obama*, I've seen this prediction play out more times than I could even try to count.
*I know he did plenty of awful things before that, but I'm starting with this, because that was when I personally began to be aware of how truly awful he is. Before that, I just thought he was crass and tacky. All these years later, I look back and realize he had barely begun to publicly play the depths of his depravity.

(10,638 posts)And, bring Polis and Moore as your guest!
Every single event that they have done this to, the attendees should invite those who were left out as their guest.
Do it!
