Source: Oregonian

By Shane Dixon Kavanaugh | The Oregonian/OregonLive

Portland police said Thursday that federal agents shot and injured two people in east Portland.

“We are still in the early stages of this incident,” said Chief Bob Day in a statement. “We understand the heightened emotion and tension many are feeling in the wake of the shooting in Minneapolis, but I am asking the community to remain calm as we work to learn more.”

Portland City Council this afternoon abruptly paused a public session around 2:40 p.m., with Council President Elana Pirtle-Guiney saying “we need to recess the meeting immediately.”

Even if the governor has mobilized them.

The State Police are a better option.

liberal/protester/observer is a dead one. My guess is he hates Noem and will gladly throw her under the bus but will double-down on his own bullshit to protect whoever shot these folks.

The news does not have a lot to reveal. It sounds like they were pursuing some people from Venezuela. Of course, the Feds said the man belonged to one of those gangs. The Border Patrol people are saying that the couple tried to flee as well as trying to ram the Fed's car. No one knows the condition of the people. People are now gathering for a vigil that will start in about an hour. It's 5:45 p.m. Pacific time right now.

But I'm sure if we just monologue about it at a microphone or write a letter about how concerned we are or speak on the House floor that it will magically stop.

When you stand before God, you cannot say "but I was told by others to do thus" or that "virtue was not convenient at the time." This will not suffice. Remember that.
