Indiana Republican Blasts 'Snowflakes' Upset With His AI Santa Beatdown

Source: Huff Post

Dec 25, 2025, 09:57 PM EST

Talk about a violent night! Indiana state Sen. Chris Garten (R) is facing backlash after he kicked off Christmas Day by posting a bizarre series of AI-generated pictures showing him beat up Santa Claus in front of the state capitol building.

The mock images depict a sleeveless Garten surrounded by a crowd of cheering supporters as he kicks, punches and pulls off a body splash on Kris Kringle in wrestler-like fashion.

“When you find out the North Pole is trying to bring more bureaucratic overreach & unfunded mandates down the chimney disguised as ‘Christmas cheer.’ Not on my watch. We The People run Indiana, not the bureaucrats,” wrote the Indiana State Senate majority floor leader in a post to his X account.

“Take it back to the North Pole big guy. Merry Christmas, Hoosiers! 🇺🇸🎅🏻🥊.”

Recently, the IN state Senate helped to kill the state's "45-mandated/government over-reach" redistricting bill and this guy is one of the GOP state Senators (and probably wanted to do the redistricting).

So could be his temper tantrum that the effort failed.

AND.... Just found this (and also am confirming the "GOP in Disarray", infighting, "punishment", and "rewards" going on in IN related to the failed redistricting vote, plus Garten is the IN state Senate Majority Leader ) -

Indiana Senate Judiciary chair ousted in wake of redistricting split

By: Tom Davies - December 24, 2025 12:16 pm

(snip)

Senate Majority Floor Leader Chris Garten, R-Charlestown, was another outspoken redistricting supporter but has maintained his high-level post and memberships on the Senate’s influential appropriations and tax committees.

I traveled through this state some 35 plus years ago and I had a chance to gain employment for a full time good paying job!! I could not bring myself to accept this job for something never felt right about this state to me so I kept moving west, although the folks appeared to be very nice. .. My question is? Why do the good folks of this state allow for these types of fools to be elected? over and over again? Just asking?

Indiana is often called a “Southern State in the North” and for good reason.

At one time, the largest KKK organization in the USA was in Indiana and it’s still active, although smaller now. John Birchers too and every other RW nut job group is represented.

Heavy red state and there are MAGA thugs galore out in rural areas.

It wouldn't make sense for anyone in today's Republican party to go after the Grinch or Scrooge, as they would be considered "ideological allies". Therefore, none other than Jolly Saint Nick gets the full treatment. The War on Christmas is in full swing, only with a newly flipped script courtesy of fools like Garten.

is that Republicans are going after all that is good in society with maximum violence and cruelty: Oppose them at your own risk.

As for the nonsense about bureaucracy and government overreach, the Republican super majority-Indiana General Assembly is famously known for three things: Corruption, Incompetence and government overreach (as in passing laws forbidding local governments from raising the minimum wage or outlawing plastic bags, and abolishing at-large seats on the Indianapolis City-County Council in a failed bid to keep that body under Republican control). As usual, it's all projection with these crass goons, who have proudly turned Indiana into the Mississippi of the North.
