Weather Service Assures North Dakotans There Is 'No Threat' of Tsunami in Landlocked State

Source: MEDIAite

Jul 30th, 2025, 12:03 am

The National Weather Service in Grand Forks, North Dakota assured North Dakotans there was “no threat” of a tsunami in the landlocked state on Tuesday.

After a social media user asked, “where is the tsunami warning for Fargo, apparently people are searching for this,” the National Weather Service Grand Forks advised, “There is no threat for tsunami impacts in North Dakota. If you are in a coastal area under threat however check https://tsunami.gov for up to date information and with local officials for any evacuation orders.”

“The fact this needed to be said is wild,” reacted Fox News national correspondent Bill Melugin, while meteorologist Chris Martz questioned, “North Dakota is between 750 and 3,506 feet above sea level and its westernmost point is about 950 miles from the Pacific Ocean. Are people there seriously that dumb that they think a tsunami could impact them?”

The Honolulu Department of Emergency Management advised Hawaiians to get to buildings “at least 10 stories” tall on Tuesday after warning that a tsunami was expected to hit around 7:17 pm local time.

I write Wiki bios for truly smart people. Right now I am working on one for a guy with an IQ of 184. He taught himself to read at age 2.

The accomplishments of some of these people is truly astonishing. They will often have 4 or 5 fields in which they are accomplished. Their bios can go on for pages and pages. I ask myself when they find time to sleep.

Another one has a list of publications, single-spaced, that is almost half an inch thick. Quite amazing when you realize one line can be a 2-inch thick book. We met in her office a couple times and it was a hellacious mess—but she knew exactly where every single item was. I saw her put out a 600-page book in 7 weeks. When I asked how she did that, she said the book wrote itself.

These people have associations with other super-smart, accomplished people in the U.S., and sometimes I have to read their bios, too, to get the connections straight. The point I am making is that we have an incredible number of these kinds of people. It is actually painful for me to see the sick, strange, stupid people trump has put in charge. Not only are they stupid, they are dysfunctional, too.

I think of this wealth of U.S. talent and wonder how this ever happened. The stupid (and morally deficient) do indeed run the land.

We're not taking any chances, said one resident, stocking up on sandbags and pool noodles. "You can't trust that ocean. It’s sneaky..."

Sources report the same group has also petitioned to ban wind turbines due to concerns about 'windmill cancer clusters' citing a Facebook post and a gut feeling. Experts remain baffled. It’s like geography, physics, and common sense all called in sick" said one scientist, who asked to remain anonymous to avoid being targeted by the Flat Earth Tsunami Response Team.

Say what you will about Republicans but it is a genius strategy to go after the least populous states by;

Buying relatively cheap AM stations
Using the pulpit
Capture state and local offices
Dumb down the Education system
Keep wages down
Beat the racist drum

And then sit back and cash in on the idiocy that Republicans have brought forth. Night of the Living dead in real life.

Not recently.

The claim is that the tsunami from Chicxulub reached there ... but North America was quite a different place at the time.

No, I'm not even hinting that maybe even one of the North Dakotans had this in mind.
