DES MOINES, Iowa President Donald Trump's lawsuit against the Des Moines Register, its parent company Gannett and pollster J. Ann Selzer was refiled from federal to state court on Monday, documents reveal.
Court documents obtained by Local 5 News show that a dismissal notice was filed in the federal court case on Monday and new litigation was submitted in Polk County District Court. Also on Monday, the group of defendants motioned to strike the president's dismissal notice down, calling it "procedurally improper."
Trump's lawsuit was first filed in December last year after he alleged a Des Moines Register/Mediacom Iowa Poll was manipulated in what he called "brazen election interference."
Although the poll's results, released three days before Election Day, showed Democratic candidate Kamala Harris leading Trump in Iowa by three points, she ultimately lost by over 13.

(33 posts)Trump supporters who might have otherwise stayed at home to go to the polls. Will be interesting to see what utter nonsense his disbarment-flirting attorneys will toss out to claim he was "harmed" by a double-digit win.
And if there were shenanigans anywhere in the process, you can bet TACO will fold long before this goes to court. This is 100% part of his THREATEN EVERYONE theater. He would take a settlement, but he won't let it go to trial.
