Maxine Waters Calls Trump 'Cruel, Dishonorable Human' for Deploying National Guard to L.A. Protests

California Democrat Rep. Maxine Waters on Sunday reacted to the National Guard troops in Los Angeles by calling President Donald Trump a “cruel, dishonorable human being” to CNN while outside the ICE detention center where protests have exploded over the weekend.

Waters spoke to CNN’s Kyung Lah outside the Metropolitan Detention Center on Sunday after attempting to visit SEIU chief David Huerta, who was arrested at the violent protests over the weekend. Lah reported on the National Guard troops deployed to downtown L.A., describing their equipment and weapons, and then played the clip of her conversation with Waters.

“I don’t know why we have guns!” Waters said. “What are those guns for? Are they to shoot protesters?” After questioning the intent of those serving in the National Guard, Waters went on to slam Trump as dishonorable for sending them in to quell the unrest that had not been brought under control by Democratic mayor or Governor.

“I mean, there’s no reason to be here with the National Guard,” she said. “The President of the United States is a cruel dishonorable human being who would just as soon they shoot somebody down. But I don t want that to happen.”

He needs to see bodies bleeding on the streets of LA. He will not stop until he makes that happen.

months. And he's getting worse as he seems to struggle more and more to remain 'presidential' in front of Americans. He is failing miserably and can't even keep a robust Economy going that he's inherited from Pres. Biden going. By the time he is done firing everybody, and replacing everybody w/ those he wants, his four years will be over and done w/ finally.

His piss ass performance as the worse president in America's history will be over and done w/, and a new fact will enter the history books as to who has been the worse president in America's history.

Perhaps if we're lucky, he hasn't burned everything down yet by the time his four years is up.

As H. Rider Haggard wrote in his novel She, published in 1886, in a chapter where the immortal Ayesha, called "She-who-must-be-obeyed", is preparing to torture her own people, against the protests of an English explorer, to maintain her authority:

How thinkest thou that I rule this people? I have but a regiment of guards to do my bidding, therefore it is not by force. It is by terror. My empire is of the imagination.

Trump's "empire" is also of the imagination. His cruelty is born of the fear he will lose power; a thinly veiled admission that he lacks true authority. He suffers from a major case of "imposter syndrome" and that's what makes him so dangerous. Haggard had his number way back in 1886.
