ABC News Suspends Terry Moran Over Deleted Post Blasting Stephen Miller as a 'World Class Hater'
Source: Mediaite.com
ABC News has reportedly suspended senior national correspondent Terry Moran over a deleted X post in which he called White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller a world class hater.
According to CNNs Brian Stelter, ABC News said Sunday that Moran has been suspended pending further evaluation following his post.
The thing about Stephen Miller is not that he is the brains behind Trumpism, Moran wrote in the deleted post. Yes, he is one of the people who conceptualizes the impulses of the Trumpist movement and translates them into policy. But thats not whats interesting about Miller. Its not brains. Its bile. Miller is a man who is richly endowed with the capacity for hatred. Hes a world-class hater. You can see this just by looking at him because you can see that his hatreds are his spiritual nourishment. He eats his hate. Trump is a world-class hater. But his hatred only a means to an end, and that end his his own glorification. Thats his spiritual nourishment.
The White House immediately denounced the comments with Vice President JD Vance calling them an absolutely vile smear. ABC should apologize to Stephen, Vance wrote in a post on X. What Terry posted is disgraceful.

(110,125 posts)Gawd, there is no descriptor that could possibly be both offensive enough and true enough to be lobbed at Stephen Miller. A NAZI at the worst possible reality in this modern age and would be more than a match had he lived in Hitler's time or long enough to (frighteningly) act out his true desires now.
Perhaps Moran was inspired by yesterday's George Clooney Broadway performance of "Good Night and Good Luck" because I have to think he knew what would happen but spoke his truth regardless.

No matter how much of a nazi he is at heart, ancestry was everything in the Third Reich, and Miller's is Jewish.

If his great great (not sure how many greats, the meme got that part wrong) grandparents hadn't gotten out of Belarus in the early 1900s, their descendants would have probably been murdered by the Einsatzgrupen, along with all but seven of the 2,000 Jews who remained in their village by the late 1930s. I'm happy that they got out, but they must be rolling in their graves right now over the things their despicable descendant is doing.
Here's what Miller's uncle, Dr. David S. Glosser, had to say about him back in 2018: https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2018/08/13/stephen-miller-is-an-immigration-hypocrite-i-know-because-im-his-uncle-219351
EDIT: After posting this, I stumbled over a video where Dr. Glosser was interviewed about the above-linked piece he wrote on Polico and decided to add it here. Among other things, it provides a glimpse as to just what Miller's relatives think of him (hint: it's not favorable).

(110,125 posts)Jew by all evidence. There were likewise a couple in Hitler's inner circle who "passed" questioning for whatever reason.
And if you think Miller only hates POC and Muslms, it was Miller who pushed Trump (albeit it might not have taken much at all) NOT to bend toward those horrified and demanding Trump call out those who spat the "Jews will not replace us" crap in Charlottesville--clearly showing he doesn't give a damn about Jews beyond any exploitation they can offer.

That, plus the knowing comment Clooney-Murrow makes about all his smarter colleagues making their escape to work in Europe (got a chuckle from the audience) made it so cathartic for our times.

Miller is an evil man. The type of amoral monster who would have been a member of the Gestapo (if it weren't for the little detail that he's Jewish), gleefully sending people to the camps and to their deaths. In life, what goes around, comes around. May he get what he deserves, sooner rather than later.

(11,152 posts)... and a journalist is supposed to be unbiased. And other journalists have faced similar punishments for putting their personal opinion on social media.
But a look at his posting history on Twitter shows this isn't the first time he's spoke out against the Trump Administration. So the Trump Admin. (through its faux press liaison) complained and ABC responded by suspending him. Had ABC warned him in the past, it'd be one thing. But since they didn't, this is another move by ABC (remember the George Stephanopolous suit) where they have bowed to Trump. You'd almost think they were the Fox Faux Network.
For anyone still thinking that Stephanopolous was going along with the ABC lawsuit settlement he was involved in, Stephanopolous, to his credit, slammed Trump just a few days ago. Good work, George.

The emails, which Miller sent to the conservative website Breitbart News in 2015 and 2016, showcase the extremist, anti-immigrant ideology that undergirds the policies he has helped create as an architect of Donald Trumps presidency. These policies include reportedly setting arrest quotas for undocumented immigrants, an executive order effectively banning immigration from five Muslim-majority countries and a policy of family separation at refugee resettlement facilities that the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General said is causing intense trauma in children.

The Southern Poverty Law Center has done a great job of identifying several areas where Miller is guilty of the charges leveled by Terry Moran. This is one section that really made me scared/angry/worried
Miller refers to President Calvin Coolidge multiple times in emails to Breitbart. Coolidge signed the Immigration Act of 1924. The legislation was based on eugenics and severely limited immigration from certain parts of the world into the United States. White nationalists lionize Coolidge, in part for his remarks condemning race mixing.
There are racial considerations too grave to be brushed aside for any sentimental reasons, Coolidge wrote in a 1921 magazine article, as quoted on American Renaissance. Biological laws tell us that certain divergent people will not mix or blend. Quality of mind and body suggests that observance of ethnic law is as great a necessity to a nation as immigration law.
In Mein Kampf, Hitler portrayed the U.S. law as a potential model for the Nazis in Germany. James Q. Whitman, the Ford Foundation professor of comparative and foreign law at Yale Law School, noted this detail in his book Hitlers American Model: The United States and the Making of Nazi Race Law.
Absolutely, Hitler talks about the law in Mein Kampf, Whitman told Hatewatch. He suggests that the U.S. was the only country making the type of progress the Nazis were trying to establish.
Miller brings up Coolidge on Aug. 4, 2015, in the context of halting all immigration to America. Garrett Murch, who also was an aide to Sessions, starts the conversation by emailing McHugh, Miller and three other Breitbart employees, including Hahn, to note something he heard on a right-wing talk radio show:
ABC owes Terry Moran an apology
