Americans warned over coming price hikes

Rising prices have added to the strains facing an increasing number of households in 2026, while emerging as a key vulnerability for the GOP ahead of the November elections.

Inflation has accelerated to its fastest pace in years on the back of Iran war-related supply disruptions, and surveys continue to show dwindling faith in the country’s economic strength and mounting financial desperation among Americans.

And while progress in negotiations between Iran and the U.S.—currently in a state of flux—has seen fuel costs decline in recent weeks, analysts at the New York Federal Reserve believe another source of price hikes could be on the horizon.

In a report published Wednesday, economists at the regional central bank said that President Donald Trump’s tariffs could continue to prompt companies to pass the costs of these onto their consumers—despite the prevailing belief that the duties had already resulted in a “one-time” adjustment.

that grocery stores are cutting prices.

To be honest, if they do it won’t be by much.

Walmart cutting prices too. Purchases are down. Kroger says they will be cutting some prices. It’s no longer about “consumer sentiment” as they say.

Getting back to where it was before Trump took office. It was above 4.0% for 25 straight months from April 2021 through April 2023. Highest was 9.1% in June 2022. Unfortunately, it is cumulative, so just adding on to those price increases.

during Biden's Term, artificially raised prices substantially to make Biden look bad, and in turn made record profits....
They kept raising prices even after Trump took office to compound their profits......

Of course you will never hear about that from the 95+% of all Media that is owned/operated by Uber Rich......
The mainstream media and Fox has become nothing more than a mouthpiece for the Republicans and White House....
The inflation numbers that are being reported are a total FARCE, not accurate by a long shot......

Interestingly, HWBush's CABAL did the exact same thing after they installed Reagan in the White House. Their changes to HOW the Consumer Price Index was calculated, completely masked over what was truly happening......and those changes, and others are still being used today.......

Biden decreased inflation and Trump -- with his idiotic policies like an unnecessary war in Iran -- has reversed that.

Can't blame the world opening back up from COVID for this inflation -- it's all Trump, Republicans, and their (failed) conservative policies.
