NYT: Several hundred people have refused to leave the National Mall despite an order to evacuate because of severe inclement weather that is approaching.
Some are even arguing with Secret Service agents. At one point, a crowd of people began running back toward the stage. An officer is sternly repeating the order over a bullhorn and the crowd is booing.
Many have begun chanting U.S.A., U.S.A. A federal law enforcement officer is trying to assure people that the event has not been canceled.
One man walking by blamed the situation on liberals in the weather service, adding, I think this is baloney.

(72,794 posts)Spear, not hammer.
The Irish god of nobility, Lugh of the Long Arm was a master of crafts and a cunning warrior. He was both Ollamh Érenn and King of the Tuatha Dé Danann, and wielded the Spear of Assal, which none could stand against.
His dwellings were at Tara in County Meath, and at Moytura, in County Sligo. His holy day was Lughnasa, which fell on August 1st.

(99,140 posts)OFFS! They told them where to go shelter and ALL the buildings are locked for The 4th. Great planning!
Here's the situation:

The fairgoers have been expelled by force
They have been told to shelter in nearby buildings, but all the buildings are locked because it is the Fourth of July
People are clustering at the entrance points and blocking traffic for blocks
The clouds are growing darker

(60,438 posts)People came for Trump's "National State Fair" but instead of cotton candy and corn on the cob they're getting reenactments of at least one and I think several books of the Old Testament.
I also read that they had a baptismal pool.

(16,577 posts)to use those buildings a emergency shelters. Did anyone even check to see if they were open?
Or
They remembered the attempted coo, where they threw shit on the walls in the Capitol Building. And said, uh-uh. Not here.
