Poll names Trump as worst American in history, Republicans say he's greatest

President Donald Trump topped a poll asking Americans to name the worst person in their history—though he also leads the field among those Republicans think is the greatest.

The YouGov poll on the “greatest” and “worst” Americans was conducted ahead of the 250th anniversary of the United States.

Trump appeared on both lists, a sign of how he remains one of the most polarizing figures in the country.

Trump is seen by some as defining American greatness and by others as its worst example, showing how opinion over him remains sharply divided. The only other president to appear on both lists was Barack Obama.

11. When I was a kid

Arnold's name literally meant traitor...even before I knew who he was. I do think he gets a bit of a bum rap (he often wasn't given his due credit, so his turning is understandable, even if still villain worthy), but there's no question he went over to the British and nearly gave away our most crucial defensive fort in the northeast. At at a precarious time for our nation.
