...and even some employee policy manuals where contracts aren't involved. I would assume though, that being fired like this negates any non-compete clause he may have had. What's laughable is the clown that fired him, who has no real background in news, mentions that Pelley saying that is part of the reason for firing him. I won't be watching any CBS News show, or entertainment program.

are doing, they know what they are facing when they go into that first meeting. They try and diffuse a potentially bad situation, and they don't play dumb. And if they've got a secure position, they insist their boss (here Barbi) is present, so decisions made before today can be explained by the person who made them.

But Pelley is right, destroying 60 Minutes was the intention, and they all know/knew it before this meeting.

Its oft-used nickname was "the Tiffany network" because of the high quality and good taste of its programming, AND ESPECIALLY its news presentation. Those three letters really meant something. Back when I was still working, if you worked at CBS, you were widely considered to be working for the absolute best network in the business. Edward R. Murrow, Walter Cronkite, Dan Rather, Eric Sevareid, Douglas Edwards, Bob Schieffer - it was a "murderers' row" of news giants, and if you were thought worthy to work where these folks worked, you were golden almost as much as they were.

Nice to be retired, I have to admit. I'm not only out-of-range, I'm no longer even on the same planet.

If she doesn’t then we need to boycott 60 Minutes.

She has got to be hired by the MAGAts to sabotage this mainstay of TV.

So it's not a matter of want, it's just a matter of fact. But, like George W, Bush, she's a well-connected failure, so there will be other things blamed for the coming demise of 60-Minutes, not the obvious quality drop.

The dweeb that fired distinguished journalist Scott Pelley doesn’t even have a college degree. From Wikipedia, he was one of three writers of this little gem…

Marketed by HBO as "the sleaziest love story in all of Hollywood,"[15] the proposed story of a woman finding herself sexually was rewritten into a show about a man who gets to abuse this woman sexually and she loves it, aka "sexual torture porn"

... to the very concept of decency. They are underhanded, despicable liars, and they're proud of it; just look at that waste of skin, Roger Stone. Like ticks, they're going to be difficult to dislodge from positions of power and influence. Ticks are worthless, except that chickens like to snack on them. Republicans will be snacked on by rats and maggots, but even rats may forego that dubious pleasure.
