(114,767 posts)Admittedly, I am angry at how much I tried to defend and support through his pre-first election stroke and mental breakdown., yet he has made me look the fool today.
Has ANYONE heard from his wife? Is she still around?

I'd read earlier that he was musing about running for the cat seat, visualized himself in the Oval Office while complaining bitterly about his job as a senator.
Though I do think a good portion of Fetterman's political reversals are stroke-related, I absolutely agree with the writer here:
I'm out of patience. Fetterman needs to resign and concentrate on intensive post-stroke therapies.
I had no idea, for example, that he was still using a speech translator but an earlier report from a constituent confrontation certainly makes it appear that way. Which says to me, the man has been stretched too thin in terms of time and energy during a period, a window, that should have been dedicated to rehab. It also says (to me) that his stroke was far more severe than he or his team ever admitted.
Then Republicans have wooed and wormed their way into Fetterman using his vulnerabilities to pretend they're his best pals.
He's fallen for that load of BS. Hard.
IMHO, the most striking, early warning sign is his loss of staff, the constant turn-over. Your staff knows who you are bc you're working elbow-to-elbow, day-in-day-out.
Big John will lose his seat in 2028 unless he turns this around.
But for his former supporters
. We've had enough.

(22,924 posts)This proposal was met with disbelief by his senior staff, who questioned his fundraising abilities and party support: Are you out of your mind? You dont do your job, you cant raise any money, and your entire party hates you.
He sounds completely out of touch with reality. I think that stroke did some very serious damage. Unfortunately, the brain damage that is making him unfit to hold office is also making him unable to comprehend that he is unfit to hold office. He sounds unlikely to step down voluntarily, but omg, he really NEEDS to.
