“Happy Memorial Day” to Japanese troops?

Donald recognizes the ultimate sacrifice made by the military in WWll by saying “Happy Memorial Day” to Japanese troops.

Memorial Day is supposed to be an American holiday to honor our American heroes who sacrificed so much but now Trump and his loyal followers have remade it to include our enemies who fought against us.

And Trump says "Happy Memorial Day" to the Japanese military that killed many, many thousands of our own military.

If someone says that to me, I say, "What do you mean by that?" Anyone who says that has no idea why we have a Memorial Day. Of course I know that Trump has no idea what he means by it. He's an abject idiot!

A huge squadron of Japanese aircraft sank the US Navy ship in 10 minutes.
The sailors fought valiantly to the end.
We never got his body to bury.

WWII. Battle of Guadalcanal.

After all, for many, it's their first real holiday after five months of work post-New Year's Day. The Memorial part gives way to travel and cookouts.

Sad, yes, but understandable given America's work culture.

I met a sailor from WWll, gunners mate, heavy cruiser. in the Pacific His job was to repair the gun mounts during battle. He got two silver stars. Twice, the gun went click and did not go boom. Someone had to manually jack out that round and drop it over the side. Guess who? I asked him if he was thinking about a medal at the time. He smiled and said "no".
