Trump cowardly attacks people getting crushed by repressive regimes and leaves their oppressors in power

Last edited Sun Apr 5, 2026, 08:39 PM - Edit history (1)

...the inveterate liar in the WH uses our military forces as a deadly cudgel against economically and socially disadvantaged, and often impoverished people living under violent and dictatorial regimes which don't care any more about their lives than he does - all with the cynical and phony claim he's making them care enough those lives to give him what he wants.

In Iran, Trump is now threatening to bomb 'power plants;' actual lifelines to an already economically stressed, diverse Iranian population which has myriad factions in numerous, disparate regions of the country; people who have no control over and nothing at all to do with the Iranian regime that our own government acknowledges is a ruthless dictatorship which regularly slaughters their dissidents and opposition like they're harvesting cattle.

America isn't under attack by Iran, yet our national leader is slaughtering even their very schoolchildren with callousness and indifference who found themselves in the way of his blundering assaults from the air.

At the same time, he and his government are touting the genocidal cruelty of an economic and oil embargo on Cuba, which basically does the same cruel trick of devastating the lives of economically challenged people, ostensibly to free them from the tyrannical regime doing the very same thing.

In the end, the governments remain intact while the people in the middle, on both sides, are the targets of their recrimination and violent retribution.

The pathology of Trump and his autocratically-enabled regime evidences an aggressive effort to not only tear down the institutions in this country that protect, defend, and help enrich Americans; but an endeavor to impoverish us with unilaterally imposed tariff schemes that increased the government coffers as he illegally forced us to spend more on many basic goods to cover the difference for retailers and others who could or would not.

He's deployed militarized forces to our streets which have assaulted countless citizens and outright murdered other Americans in their way with impunity. Even as millions have repeatedly taken to the streets to resist; Trump is still insulated from accountability and control by a deliberately feckless republican majority who are going along for the ride as far as they're able before bailing out with their portfolios intact.

His Iran attacks are just barbaric savagery for the sake of the cruelty that feeds Trump's insatiable addiction to making cheap grabs for attention and self-aggrandizement. There is no overriding mission there except conquest; and that includes attempting to conquer Americans to force us to bend to his petty will.

And just like the republicans crouching down and crawling behind him, Americans can only vainly hope we survive long enough to bail out of the way or divert Trump before he destroys us all.

Make no mistake. This megalomaniac with access to world-devastating military force threatening and fomenting genocidal violence against already oppressed populations abroad has EVERYTHING to do with our own safety and well-being.

NOT just from the blowback other nations will undoubtedly organize and direct against the U.S. and our 'interests' abroad, but the inevitability when this monster turns his ire completely inward and decides to try and conquer AMERICANS.

___The war, therefore, if we judge it by the standards of previous wars, is merely an imposture. It is like the battles between certain ruminant animals whose horns are set at such an angle that they are incapable of hurting one another. But though it is unreal it is not meaningless. It eats up the surplus of consumable goods, and it helps to preserve the special mental atmosphere that a hierarchical society needs. War, it will be seen, is now a purely internal affair. In the past, the ruling groups of all countries, although they might recognize their common interest and therefore limit the destructiveness of war, did fight against one another, and the victor always plundered the vanquished. In our own day they are not fighting against one another at all. The war is waged by each ruling group against its own subjects, and the object of the war is not to make or prevent conquests of territory, but to keep the structure of society intact. The very word 'war', therefore, has become misleading. It would probably be accurate to say that by becoming continuous war has ceased to exist. The peculiar pressure that it exerted on human beings between the Neolithic Age and the early twentieth century has disappeared and been replaced by something quite different. The effect would be much the same if the three super-states, instead of fighting one another, should agree to live in perpetual peace, each inviolate within its own boundaries. For in that case each would still be a self-contained universe, freed for ever from the sobering influence of external danger. A peace that was truly permanent would be the same as a permanent war.

The biggest story in the world right now is that the president of the United States is a demented old man who takes pleasure in torturing and killing people and is committing crimes with impunity. And yet most legacy media outlets are too cowardly to tell it like it is.
