Trump Says He Is ‘Pretty Much Not Happy’ With Any DHS Funding Deal
President Donald Trump told reporters Tuesday that he would “take a good, long look” at any deal hammered out by Democrats and Republicans on Department of Homeland Security funding.

Democrats are withholding support for a funding package in hopes of extracting concessions from Trump on his violent — and deadly — immigration enforcement operations.

“Well, I don’t want to comment until I see the deal, but as you know, they’re negotiating a deal,” Trump said. “I guess they’re getting fairly close. I think any deal they make, I’m pretty much not happy with it.”

Earlier in the day, Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) said he heard from Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.) that Trump was coming around to the deal.
