I have really missed Ted since his death in 2009---
and as a romantic youth, I worked my ASS off for him in 1980--

(although I believe that Carter was DOOMED that year, even without the primary challenge---
I did take it as a 'lesson' to argue against any Democratic primary challenges against President Joe Biden---
whom I believe was the most progressive President since FDR---
the idea that a primary challenge against an incumbent president is bad electoral politics,
and has historically led to that President's general election defeat
is not lost on me---- but I think Carter would have lost anyway,
without any such challenges--- the headwinds against him were too great---
but in retrospect he seems to have been a pretty good POTUS---
ESPECIALLY against what we are faced with NOW!)

I am sure that Ted would have had MUCH to say about Diaper Don---
and WITHOUT 'pulling' any punches!!!!!!

I very much appreciated his opposition against Bush Jr's IRAQ war....

Not every primary challenger is a Kennedy. Not every Progressive candidate is George McGovern. Each election has it's unique factors and reflects a different time.

i'm generally for democracy, and that includes within the Democratic primary system. A solid candidate that can win in the general should be able to survive a primary challenge. A healthy party should be able to regroup after a primary, unite, and win--stronger that they allowed democracy to play out and sure they have a candidate the people have chosen.

(No criticism intended here of Ted or McGovern.)

His name came up in a discussion of possible late night hosts that would have Chump.
Well. there is Jon Stewart among others where he could appear...
Busted. That's why there are millions of files.
Just a reference in any context and you will be famous, (more?)

In this case, it's not an honor to be recognized, right Andy?
