Meeting with US oil companies on Friday, Trump asked Halliburton CEO why the company left Venezuela.

In the most delicate way possible, the CEO explained that the company had to leave because of the sanctions imposed against Venezuela in 2020.

It went unmentioned that Trump was President (2017-2021) when those sanctions were imposed.
