Juxtaposition

By now most of us have seen clips of the monks walking for peace. They are received along their path with prayers, and flowers, and hugs, and bows from the great diversity of people who make up our nation. It’s joyous to watch. The monks are driven by love and their desire for peace. Those who greet them are driven by the same love and desire for peace.

Unfortunately and simultaneously, the incursion of masked and armed ICE kidnappers and bounty hunters is ongoing. They invade neighborhoods with violence and hate and are met with resistance: with fear, anger, resentment, and defiance. The contrast of these parallel occurrences is stark.

This is one of the most informative, large scale juxtapositions I have ever witnessed.

Peace and good health to everyone.
