from the states is obvious. They want to declare huge numbers to be ineligible and tell the states they have to strike them from the voting rolls. Even if someone is eligible they will keep the process for clearing your name so tied up that it will be past the Mid-Terms before they might "approve" you. They will follow this pattern in 2028 also. This is a pic of a Florida polling place in 2020. Now imagine two ICE-American Gestapo goons with guns and masks standing there and deciding who gets in and who gets deemed questionable and a "suspicious threat" and isn't allowed in to vote.

(22,079 posts)The Feds have no say about who is an approved voter, the states hold that authority, guided by the constitution.
The states have ignored his EO banning mail in voting, and are resisting his demands for voter info.
They will not accept ICE agents at polling places either. (And there arent enough to police every polling place, even just blue districts in big cities anyway)

States like Florida and Texas would have no problem accepting armed ICE-American Gestapo agents providing "security" at the door to the polling locations. There might be push back from a certain segment of the citizens of those states but the people in leadership in those states would have no problem whatsoever.

(8,756 posts)state elections and local elections in red states. Nobody thinks that those deep blue states are going to go along but we can't take over without winning some seats in red states as well. That's one reason the extreme gerrymandering is such a big issue.

(826 posts)It is my biggest concern. The Democratic party at all levels MUST be working on all such issues preemptively and after the vote counts come in. After everything that can be done to enable eligible voters to vote, every anomaly, no matter how small MUST addressed before acknowledging a Repub win.
