over the daily failure of DOJ to release any new Epstein files? A little reporting about the Dems asking for a special master but that's pretty much it. All of the fourth estate just seems satisfied to accept the proclamation from DOJ that they "are reviewing" 2 million, 5 million, umpteen million or gazillion millions of documents. No push from the media about how could they be so f'd up about the number of documents. No realization, or care, by the media that by DOJ floating out conflicting document totals they are making cover for the ability to not release documents because nobody knows the true total in the end so nobody can know whether the total released is all that there is. Duh.

Intel people know this tactic as creating "chaff". You just create so much false and misleading information that nobody can reasonably see through to the truth of an aspect or the whole of a situation. People have felt for a long time that this is what the CIA did in the period before JFK was killed. Because of all of the "chaff" purposely created it allows constant rebuttal and doubt about any one "theory" because much of the information, the phony "chaff", would be in conflict with any one theory. In other words no theory could encompass all of the "what about this" that comes up.

Disinformation campaigns are examples of "chaff" and the effects of creating endless wild goose chases/dog chasing its' tail scenarios. It allows the powers that be to always discredit any conclusion put forth against them by being able to criticize that conclusion by saying it doesn't account for this, this and this.

This coverup of Epstein is massive and orchestrated at the highest levels. Now even if a judge were to order DOJ to immediately turn over all of the files to a special master what is the true number of documents? Does anybody believe DOJ when they swear to a judge they have turned over everything? The same DOJ that has repeatedly been found to lie to the courts and lie to grand juries?

And the only news in the Epstein files situation is "there is no news." Which is news in and of itself, but isn't something that cable news/MSM is going to focus on for hours a day.

However, IMO, the thing about the Epstein story is that no matter what, it's not going away. It isn't something that can be swept under the rug. The law to release the files has been passed, and now they're being withheld, so that IS a story. Right now the media is focused in other directions, but Epstein will be back in the news at some point. The files are going to drip out one way or another.

4. The problem is the media can do more than one story at a time but

they choose to follow which outrageous thing is next on the list to the near exclusion of all else when it comes to the GQP. The kind of thing I'm talking about is a serious examination of the obvious coverup. Hillary's e-mails were front page and page 2 almost every day even though there was absolutely nothing new to report. Cable news was going 24/7 with segment after segment about anything to do with Obama, Hillary or Biden. Barely a day went by that we didn't see or hear stories about birth certificates and e-mails. Later on it became the "Joe is old" routine.

Nobody is saying don't cover the things going on but literally no documents have been turned over in weeks and the deadline to explain the redactions has come and gone. Yes indeed "eventually" more will come out but the strategy of delay is being allowed to work and is employed for the purpose of dulling the impact and reaction of what does get released. People like Blanche etc. know very well how to blunt the effect of information to the biggest degree possible and they are doing it and are playing a compliant media.

It is similar media conduct as the fiasco around Cambridge Analytica and the Mercers. I would read articles and hear shows describe them as deeply involved and then that would be the extent of it. Any Democrat under scrutiny for anything would have had the media drilling down to the smallest detail all the way back to their time as a toddler but yet the Mercers were just mentioned as deeply involved and then no in depth on them. That's just one example out of many.

It is a standard PR strategy to delay and draw out releases of information and to make them disjointed, less connected in people's minds and to be able to spin the tale of "it's old news", "it's been dealt with" etc. so that the average person who pays little attention is assured by such things. But again the things I'm saying here about the strategy etc. are things the media should be doing stories on. Bring in PR firm people for example and have them describe the strategy. Bring in lawyers who can talk about similar cases of delaying and obfuscating the release of information.

The story is not just what is in the Epstein files but the coverup and delay strategy is a story as well. The media doesn't have to wait for the next document release in order to do the coverup and delay story.

7. Well, here is a respectful 'yeah but.' Reagan killed the old Fairness Doctrine back in '87, and

the fact that six publicly traded companies own virtually ALL of America's media shows why we seldom ever get the whole story.

See, the fiduciary responsibility of all the senior producers of the 'news shows' is not truth in reporting, but always and only to generate shareholder profits.

And as we speak, the DOJ seems to be taking a page out of COINTELPRO and actively trying to provoke violence so there can be justification for sending troops in to kill our children and grandchildren - or parents as in the case of the three children left after the murder of Renee Good. Trump et al are doing their level best to justify declaring martial law so that elections can be cancelled indefinitely. I know you are well aware of this and we now walk a very fine line that would be readily apparent to any thoughtful American in 1858.

Because power NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER concedes anything without being forced.

In the meantime how many on here can say truthfully that we are being taxed federally WITHOUT REPRESENTATION. Because I paid in over $18K in federal taxes last year and what the hell am I getting for my money? We now are living in a third world country and about to enter a steep recession complete with mass layoffs, but without any stimulus because Chicago school guys are in charge and they are getting ready to impose austerity on us. We have only just begun to suffer with Wall Street's boot on our necks.

is muted in comparison to the magnitude of how big a deal this is. Five oil tankers have been seized altogether and we have no knowledge of the end result of the possession or sale of the oil and to whom and where the money is. This isn't something to resolve months or years from now after protracted litigation and appeals. It's a major theft of unprecedented proportion by a sitting US President.
