Thank you for a great thread debm55! I look forward to singing along…

Disco Inferno

Burn, baby, burn
Burn, baby, burn
Burn, baby, burn
Burn, baby, burn (burnin')

To my surprise, listen
100-stories high
People gettin' loose, y'all
They're gettin' down on the roof, do you hear?
The folk was flamin'
Out of control
It was so entertainin'
When the boogie started to explode
I heard somebody say
disco inferno

(Burn, baby, burn) burn that mother down
(Burn, baby, burn) disco inferno, yeah
(Burn, baby, burn) burn that mother down (burnin'!)

Satisfaction (ooh-ooh)
Came in the chain reaction (burnin')
I couldn't get enough
'Til I had to self-destruct (ooh-ooh)
The heat was on (burnin')
Risin' to the top, mm
Everybody goin' strong (ooh-ooh)
That's when my spark got hot
I heard somebody say
disco inferno

(Burn, baby, burn) burn that mother down, y'all
(Burn, baby, burn) disco inferno, yeah
(Burn, baby, burn) that mother down (burnin'!)

Up above my head, I hear music in the air (I hear music)
That makes me know there's a party somewhere
Satisfaction! Mm
Came in a chain reaction, let me hear
I couldn't get enough
So I had to self-destruct, mm
The heat was on
Risin' to the top, mm
Everybody goin' strong
That is when my spark got hot
I heard somebody say
disco inferno

(Burn, baby, burn) burn that mother down
(Burn, baby, burn) disco inferno, yeah
(Burn, baby, burn) burn that mother down, get it
ah, hey!

(Burn, baby, burn) burn that mother down
(Burn, baby, burn) disco inferno
(Burn, baby, burn)

or america first
i think they both sell merch
the whole place seems a little bit cursed
it's like somebody might have been
living here first

incels in cellars from a long line of failures
underneath rumble umbrellas daily wire'ing with the fellas
chromag maga hate cave dwellers
the tale is older than the tellers
the tail is older than old yeller

the internet is incarnate
manifested, given birth
there's some spillage in a village
near where i'm living here on earth
it's a disgrace to the natural state
there ain't much that ain't
hey bill
hey billy
hey Sarah
hey tom
hey mike

everything is constantly unlike anything you've ever seen before
everything is greater than it's ever been before
pardon the progress
hate is part of the process
catastrophic nostalgia
and delusions of freedom
i think we ate the last apple
in the garden eden

all the masks are off and they don't even try
they know that you know that they know
and they don't even mind it
all the masks are off
and they're getting lazy
they think yer so damn stupid
they think yer so damn crazy

killing people from a distance in an instant
at the insistence of a president
with a black mail gun to his head for the fun that he had in the dark ages
pages and pages and pages and pages
they thought they'd get away with it
the minimum wage is outraged with it
they're gonna burn somebody at the stake for it
fruit of the doom
oranges and grapists
hold on to yer vapes kids
icicles and alligators
and blood traitors
and purveyors of strange behaviors
and masqueraders and masked invaders
layers and layers and layers
be good to yer god
and be good to yer bayer
take yer aspirin and yer roundup
and say all yer prayers

the loogie of factions that the nation has hacked
is boiling and festering and stabbing itself in the back
who here is surprised by that
who here is blown aghast
if you wanna know the future
simply look into the past

all the masks are off and they don't even try
they know that you know that they know
and they don't even mind it
all the masks are off
and they're getting lazy
they think yer so damn stupid
they think yer so damn crazy

He's a real Nowhere Man,
Sitting in his Nowhere Land,
Making all his Nowhere plans for nobody.

In a public performance, I'd go with Eddie Harris' "Freedom Dance" ... and everybody gets a turn to solo !

Or try Don Ellis' reinterpretation, in 7/4 !

[Verse 1]
Well, you went uptown
Ridin' in your limousine
With your fine Park Avenue clothes
You had the Dom Perignon
In your hand
And the spoon up your nose
Ooh, and when you
Wake up in the mornin'
With your head on fire
And your eyes too bloody to see
Go on and cry in your coffee
But don't come bitchin' to me

Because you had to be
A big shot, didn't cha
You had to open up your mouth
You had to be a big shot, didn't cha
All your friends were so knocked out
You had to have the last word, last night
You know what everything's about
You had to have a white hot spotlight
You had to be a big shot last night, whoa
Yeah

As a musician I deny him the comfort, though dead, or the thoughtfulness of music.

Let him lay all alone in a hole filled with worms. ITCHY worms but NOT music.

I don't believe in deities. I don't believe in "god or "satan".

And because I don't believe in these things, I don't believe in a heaven or hell either.

I didn't have a life before I was conceived or born, so I don't believe that I'll have an afterlife either.

I live for today. I love for today.

What would be nice if tRump was locked up in a small 8x6 cell (where criminals belong) and this video and sound of Barack Obama playing on a loop 24/7. No way to shut it off and no way to mute it or lower the volume.

He does his infamous double-jerk-off dance to it and s all pleased with himself. The song is ruined for all of us , so let him take it to eternity and don't give him a chair or bed. Make him do his little dance forever with the music on repeat. There is small chance he may eventually get a clue about what that son and the Village People were representing!
