Isaiah 33:1

Isaiah 33:1 states: "Woe to you, destroyer, you who have not been destroyed! Woe to you, betrayer, you who have not been betrayed! When you stop destroying, you will be destroyed; when you stop betraying, you will be betrayed."

"This verse expresses a warning and condemnation towards those who cause destruction and betrayal without facing consequences themselves. It emphasizes the inevitable justice that will come to those who harm others."

In fact, I need to add my readings for Advent. Chapter 53 is one of my top 10 chapters in the Bible.

it's one of the stupidest comments here so far, but the day has just started.
Mind you, I'm not calling you stupid, I'm calling your comment stupid.

you're free to ignore or if you think it's inappropriate, then hit the alert tab and let a jury rule on it.

I'm reading Father Richard Rohr's The Tears of Everything with my book club right now, all about the prophets and the important role they have played throughout the Bible and history.

One of my favorite verses for these times:

Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.
(Isaiah 5:20)

Another one I hang onto is "Acquitting the guilty and condemning the righteous—both are detestable to the LORD."
(Proverbs 17:15)
