Megyn Kelly, who once endorsed Trump by calling him a "protector of women," is now facing backlash for comments that appeared to downplay the sexual abuse committed by convicted child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

In an interview with conservative journalist Batya Ungar-Sargon on her podcast, The Megyn Kelly Show, Kelly discussed the Epstein emails released by the House Oversight Committee this week before veering into a discussion on whether Epstein could be called "a pedophile" based on the ages of the girls he abused.

First, she cited someone she described as "very, very close to this case" and "in a position to know virtually everything," who told her that, in their view, "Jeffrey Epstein was not a pedophile."

"This is this person's view, who was there for a lot of this, but that he was into the barely legal type. Like, he liked 15-year-old girls," she said.

The Epstein scandal is following an all-to-familiar pattern. First "it didn't happen." Then, "it's overblown." And finally, "what are you going to to about it?"

Epstein’s influence was allowed to continue almost until his demise. Corresponding with Summers, Bannon (about clearing the mess that Kavanaugh is) the Kremlin, Musk, Thiel, media figures, and so on. Capped off by a personal visit from his original benefactor’s son Bill Barr. The only one missing from the conversation at that point was Trump.

It’s pretty clear that behind the scenes, this group is who was running the world for the last few decades and certainly since the 2008 crash.

12. Not defending Megyn Kelly (not her, nor esp. not her motives) but there is a dictionary definition of pedophilia

And it would be rare for sex with even a 15 year old to meet that definition, so again, technically, she is correct. It would be hebophilia or ephebophilia by the dictionary definitions of those words. Since I'm OCD like this I would stipulate to that point, in an academic sort of sense.

HOWEVER, IIRC some (victim, iirc, but for sure someone who he was asking to "recruit" victims, maybe it was VG? I forget where I read the account as it was years ago) reported that his attitude was "the younger the better" when it came to recruitment efforts, that he basically was specifically clamoring for girls without fully developed breasts. THAT is pedophilia. Even if the youngest girl was 15 and past puberty, he WANTED younger.
