Not only that, a far higher percent of California voted for Newsum, who Trump's administration thinks California needs to be liberated from.

So, this "king" idea and the Noem statement on California shows how little they really value elections and democracy. If there are many of these signs, I wonder if this could be their "defund the police'",

Such a large block of the voting population clamoring for an authoritarian regime to
tell them what to think, how they should feel, who to vote for, how to rationalize irrationality.
These people wish to give up their agency, their choice, their voice to someone so vaingloriously dumb and yet disgustingly narcissistic that they are only a set dressing for his gratuitous fever dream of domination.
