June 14th - A Day of Celebration or a Day of Infamy?
We celebrate our right to assemble and our right to free speech that is guaranteed by the First Amendment in the Bill of Rights.
Today, June 14, 2025, hundreds of thousands of Americans will assemble across this nation to protest the policies of Donald J Trump. Their messages will be as diverse as our country.
But while they are protesting, a military parade will be taking place in our nation's Capitol. Tanks will be rolling down the streets toward the Capitol. The Commander-in-Chief is celebrating his 79th birthday. Coincidentally, the 250th anniversary of our Army just happens to be on the same day.
At the same time, the California National Guard and the US Marines are patrolling the streets of Los Angeles, the nations 2nd largest city.
If we look beyond the surface of what is happening today, we see a Commander-in-Chief that is attempting to pit the US military against the "left-leaning, socialist" protestors that "hate our country". That is his message to America. His aim for the "parade" is to divide America and to control the loyalties of the military against the rest of America.
Will we celebrate this day tomorrow? Or will it be seen as a day of infamy?
We might have an answer when this day is done?
