n the wake of 82-year-old President Joe Bidens re-election woes last year, young Democrats candidates around the country have begun launching primary campaigns against older incumbents on a message of generational change, promising to bring new energy to the Democratic Party. One such contest has now come to New Jersey.
Kyle Little, the 36-year-old owner of a small fitness studio chain in Middlesex County, says hell challenge progressive Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-Ewing) in next years Democratic primary; at 80 years old, Watson Coleman has been in Congress for ten years and was involved in state politics for decades before that.
I have a lot of respect for Ms. Bonnie Watson Coleman, Little told the New Jersey Globe. But she is 80 years old. Im 36, and Im outspoken and progressive, and I can really get out there.
The younger people are more outspoken you have the Jasmine Crocketts, the AOCs, the Maxwell Frosts, he continued. The younger people are the ones actually getting out there and making their voices heard, more than these stagnant Democrats that are in office now.

It's not good enough to say, "I'm young and arrogant and can insult Democrats for hours and hours, don't get me started. Vote for me!" No, that's not good enough.
