How Tear Gas Works

If you're lying on the ground, get up and move, because heavier-than-air CS gas will settle into a thick ground-level layer.

“peaceful” doesn’t protect you from cop violence — it gives them an easy target. They are not interested in helping you get the infiltrators. They start swinging as soon as something goes sideways, and relying on them to be discerning is a fool’s game.

If there is violence and you sit down to "expose" the provocateurs, the police might charge the crowd to grab the lawbreakers. The crowd can panic and run.

If there is violence, leave the area. Do not sit down unless you want to die.

That created the events. There's plenty to read and learn.

There are also designated individuals who are responsible for the crowd's first aid, movement flow and safety. They are there for a reason. Listen to them.

Memes like this are woefully inaccurate and incomplete in their helpfulness.

This one is straight up dangerous if tear gas is involved.

In addition, sitting down in that photo is a tactic to claim the street, not to avoid being mistaken for a bad actor.

or observing, all this time there have been protests with no provocations, now tear gas, rubber bullets, and flash bangs, National Guard and Marines being deployed, in LA that's Stephen Miller's home state. Also when this started on Saturday the protestors were peacefully telling ICE to leave that detention center.

This escalation is from Stephen Miller, call that bastard out!!!! He even called it an insurrection, to escalate his next move for the POS to call for martial law. Correct me if I'm wrong.

You could be run over and trampled to death or serious injury.

If there is any violence from anybody, leave the area. Be situationally aware. If the crowd gets too dense, move to the edges.

If there are provocateurs, leave the area. That exposes them even better than sitting down. It makes it easier for the police to arrest them than when people are sitting down in the way.

BE SAFE! Don't sit down in crowds.

In the event a panic erupts, you will be VERY vulnerable to getting trampled. Find some other way to express peaceful intent.

Move away if safety requires it. Sitting down could be dangerous and also ambiguous.

Use your voice. Condemn violence.

Just my 2 cents.
