2. The inside Nazi Germany story has only been plumbed these last 15-20 years

as government archives and public interest opened up. Journalists, particularly European ones, are on the case. I've posted a few links over the last several months but can't recall them offhand. Will see if I can dredge them up tonight.

3. I keep being reminded of George Floyd protests

and the arrests made by right-wingers travelling to different states to set cars on fire, break store windows, throw molotov cocktails etc. So interesting and yet never on the news. Only to be read in the various newspapers where the individuals had been charged, and where they were found to be from. Not that long ago, but in terms of the law? And the media?

4. In Ogle County, northern Illinois,

our protest group organizers work closely with the city government. They have informed us that there will be a counter-protester among us. He has been encouraged by the city manager to protest across the street, but has declined. He will be walking around and as he says, "asking questions." We are being told not to answer or engage him.

This sounds like a good idea for other protests. Don't answer. Turn your back.
