Those blue uniforms are not Guard or Marines, not that they wouldn’t shoot if trump and his henchman ordered it.

at least for the most part, I would suggest--- IMHO--- that the worst things are being done
by trouble-making opportunists---- BUT---
it is no worse than things that happened in East Lansing when an MSU sports team lost an important game,
AND, EVEN Republican Governors felt no need to send in the National Guard on those nights----

The local police were quite able to 'handle' the situation,
although in their riot gear, they often went overboard.
I was a taxi driver there on some of those nights,
and heard from passengers about how tear gas canisters were bouncing through doors
into the local bars.... and dodged my share of burning couches in the middle of the street,
but I never thought any National Guardsmen were needed...

There is a difference between the peaceful protests during the day,
and the things that are happening at night,
which are being characterized as a continuation of those same protests,
but I don't think that they are.... more like, a 'transition'

It doesn't matter, it sets up a video moment and makes the entire protest look bad. We need to be loudly condemning looting and blame it on what it is, and not politics on either side.

And let's be honest, they are doing it to flat out steal shit and we all know it.

as someone said on bluesky we're much further along than we know. The cops, ICE, the Guard...the military are only going to make it worse. The George Floyd protests reminded me exactly who the cops are. All those rubber bullets that blinded 23 people? Those were cops.

I have seen videos of some really impressive crowds around the country, yet, I feel like the sustained masses required for the impact. We desire are a long way off. I will be out on Saturday locally. I do wish more high school and college age young folks would attend. we do have a lot of old folks like myself, and the rest seem to be made up of middle aged people. It is what it is; perhaps, I am simply being impatient. Big respect for all those attending. stay creative everyone.

that can't fail to help our cause--- even though the police are not our REAL enemy,
just opportunists for violence with a badge....

Probably the shooter would have preferred to RAPE her,
but figured he could only get away with shooting her with a rubber bullet.

Selling out the citizens by reporting that its a "riot". Just like elections are horse races, protests are "breaking news" stories and have to be sensationalized.

So people sitting in their houses watching the news are going, "well, they deserve it".

That's exactly what happened with Kent state. People said " well, maybe they shouldn't have been throwing rocks." Like being shot and killed was equal to stone throwing.

The media KNOWS THIS AND STILL THEY DO IT.

hey, they're all wearing body armor anyway, aren't they? wtf?

Shocking video.... completely uncalled for--- that motherfucker who fired
DESERVES to be MADE TO FEEL PAIN in return!!!!

When one thinks of the "Los Angeles Police Department",
the words "responsible use of force" have NEVER been the first that come to mind....

I was not inclined to blame the LAPD for anything regarding this riot,
