RFK just removed every member of a scientific committee that advises the CDC on how vaccines should be used. According to the NYT: "The health secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. removed all 17 members of a CDC advisory panel in his latest move to dismantle years of vaccine policy."
So, we're just gonna wing it now?

My dad has had most of his retirement health care through the VA. Sure, it hasn't always been a smooth process. But it beats what he would have gotten from the civilian health care system. He's still kicking at 92!

They wax poetically about caring but their actions speak volumes.
RFK Jr is a damn disgrace and dangerous.

(62,115 posts)but I'm certainly worried about what trump & co will do going forward.
Basically, I can't afford civilian healthcare, even with Medicare.

Eg: The decision by SCOTUS on Friday that it is okay for DOGE hacker punks to have full access to sensitive data at SSA.
And meanwhile, in another decision, SCOTUS also prevented CREW from having FOIA access to what DOGE is doing in their governmental "duties".

(22,376 posts)Frustrating is an understatement. I wish cable news was able to divide their coverage into, say, four main segments. There are at least 4 major outrages a day that need to be addressed. One story, no matter how compelling, should not monopolize the news.

(4,536 posts)I wouldn't blame them if they wouldn't let us in, but may come down to getting smart, rational med care for some things, like vaccines, may take a trip across the border. If you know what you want/need you can also go to Mexico, every little podunk pharmacy will dispense just about anything to anybody. Can't vouch for the material sourcing but they'll sell it to you. I wonder how the average general practitioner is going to deal with this down the road?

All these turds want to be the lone voices of their various domains. That keeps them from being answerable to anybody except the fetid fathead. This whole administration gives off the feeling that they're all winging it -- making it up as they go along (or TSF tells them what they should say and do.)

(193 posts)As usual for the Felon's appointees, he lied before the Senate committee during his confirmation hearings. He has continued his anti-vaccine crusades, often in below the headlines ways, since he first took office. He is indeed deplorable.
Any statements he makes saying he will protect the rights of Americans who wisely choose to use vaccines cannot be trusted.

We should not trust anything coming out of the Whitehouse on down. Unlike the right-wing nutjobs, it's a temporary situation for us, 3.5 years. We know Gov't can and will work when this criminally run regime is out.

(2,498 posts)He made several points about how the distraction that the grifter is providing, by creating an issue in LA, is pulling attention away from all the other things that the grifter doesn't want us to see. He also mentioned the RFK firing of vaccine experts at CDC as one of the atrocities that is going on unnoticed, because the media is being distracted.
