In the summer of 1967, protestors gave flowers to soldiers carrying weapons. Nothing like a carnation in the barrel to say “Peace”.

For some reason I haven't quite been able to put a finger on, the divide in our country today seems significantly greater. Can't decide whether time has eroded away the depth of my feelings then or the consequences are greater today. ... I'm leaning to the latter.
