Too bad Trump's go-to "They're trying to hurt ME, but they really want to hurt YOU" crap can't be played with HARVARD
I was thinking about this earlier. You know that while Trump raged and pouted and stamped his tiny feet during all of his legal cases that now are gone up in a poof of smoke, he REGULARLY played the "They're trying to hurt ME, but they really want to hurt YOU" card.
I read something to the effect of "Trump always needs a villain," because when he locks into one, he can squirt out a daily barrage of nonsense and dominate the news cycle.
And he's clearly doing that with Harvard.
The MAGAts have been paper-trained like puppies. All Trump has to do is blow the "ELITES!" dog whistle and they hate who he hates.
The MAGAts obviously didn't see Musk, Zuckerberg and Bezos in their front row seats at Trump's inauguration.
While some of the wealthy MAGAts in Trump's circle may have attended Harvard, a lot of the red hats at the MAGAt rallies probably didn't. He can't SELL "HARVARD IS COMING AFTER YOU" to the MAGAts because Harvard's very existence is irrelevant to dudes taking their cousin to Dairy Queen, hoping to "get lucky."
