Musk Goons Purged Living U.S. Citizens from Social Security

What might be called Day of the Dead Living is being continually played out at a Social Security Administration (SSA) office in upstate New York, and likely across the country.

“We have people who did not receive benefits come in every day with their ID and say, ‘I’m not dead, I’m alive!” says Rennie Glasgow, a claims technical analyst with 15 years of experience at the agency who handles the most challenging cases at the Schenectady office.

These supposed dead are not to be confused with more than 6,000 living immigrants the Trump administration moved to the SSA Death Master File (DMF) in an attempt to force them to self-deport by depriving them of the ability to work legally.

Many more American citizens were wrongly consigned to the DMF after Elon Musk’s DOGE goons bullied their way onto the SSA’s databases and mistakenly decided that “countless” people listed as 120 years old and older were receiving benefits.

“[DOGE staffers] went into the system and they killed off people,” Glasgow told the Daily Beast. “About 4 million people, they marked them as dead. But they’re not sure if those people were supposed to be marked as dead, so they’re sending us an email saying, ‘If these people come into the office with their identification, you can reinstate them.’”

2. Seems like there's a bunch of folks with standing to sue Mr. Musk and his cohort

Since our only path to relief from harm caused by this daily shitshow is the courts, and F47 will do whatever he can to shut those down too, better get that suit filed early.

And knowing how deep Eloon's pockets are, it's not hard to imagine lawyers lining up to take those cases. I hope they are able to do some real financial damage to that assclown.

Considering how poorly Teslua is doing these days, he may not be quite as invulnerable as he once seemed to be. Declaring open season on the Muskrat sounds good to me.

These people need to be fired and arrested. Civil suits are great.

Does the DOJ no longer enforce the law?

Soon it will be open season on these thugs.

13. The DOJ is now headed up by Trump's handpicked sychophant Pam Bondi.

I doubt that the words "enforce the law" are in her mandate. She's too busy trying to manufacture trumped up (pun intended) excuses to prosecute people he doesn't like or has some petty grudge against.

‘If these people come into the office with their identification, you can reinstate them.’

Well maybe they are faking being alive?

If they're dead, can they be charged with a crime, say like killing a whole bunch of Musk's Dogebois?

Seriously, this is a criminal act of assault, and theft.
These assholes need to be put in jail for so long it won't matter if they're actually dead or not.

unperson (plural unpersons or unpeople)

A person who has been stripped of rights, identity or humanity.
With his identity stolen, he became an unperson, unable to prove his existence to the government.

I just took an early retirement from Social Security. I do not represent the agency. I don't know what doge did. What I can tell you is this. Anyone who shows dead and is not, can be resurrected. We use a form 721 that is sent to us from the nursing home to enter the death and stop the benefits. Does ss make mistakes? Yes, but not often. I can also tell you that the understaffing at the agency is critical. They won't allow the agency to replace anyone. The people who remain have too much on their plates. Trying to keep up is impossible and when you work in that environment, shit happens. They are human beings who work there. I have never worked anywhere that had employees so devoted to their jobs as they are at Social Security. I have worked for several federal agencies. It pained me to leave, but the stress was off the charts and my health issues didn't allow me to keep working. You can't run an office efficiently when you have lost 2/3 or your staff. This doesn't all fall on doge, although I deplore doge, Congress has failed the agency for years. O'Malley has been right all along. It's mostly a staffing issue. I know, I was there and I lived it.

I appreciate that. I will defend Social security and it's programs forever. It is an agency that literally takes care of us cradle to grave.

I'm sure there are seniors out there with no family to help and no transportation to a far away SSA office (since Musk closed so many) who were just depending on the regular payments that they've gotten for years, who will now go completely broke and die due to sudden inability to purchase food or medication.

This has come up before in our modern era. Yes, it will hit minorities, but also poor whites. Yes, it has been a means of denying the vote in the bad old days — and again, now. And all of a sudden, something that was intelligently worked around with COBOL in the good old days is being trashed. Has already been trashed.
